Overview
The Chest Binder A 11 is applied over the thoracic area to compress the rib cage, approximate the chest wall, and provide a splint for the sternum while allowing sufficient flexibility for comfortable breathing.
Intended use
- Support and protection of the rib cage, including protection for fractured, dislocated, or cracked ribs.
- Stabilization of sternal fractures.
- Post cardiac and thoracic surgery: helps reduce discomfort associated with sudden chest expansion during deep breathing, coughing, or sneezing during recovery.
- Protection and approximation of chest surgical incisions.
- Facilitates sputum clearance from the lungs after surgery, helping reduce the risk of pleural infections and other complications.
- 50 mm PUF pad stabilizes and binds the fractured sternum without compromising patient comfort.
- Strong elastic strap provides a firm hold and helps distribute pressure evenly.
