Overview
Reusable hot/cold gel pack for abdomen and back with cover, model ASP7208. Intended to help relieve pain and reduce swelling associated with minor sports inflammation and accident injuries. In first aid, cold application helps limit minor bleeding, bruising, and sensitivities such as insect bites. Cold packs are preferred for new injuries. Hot application is used to relieve pain and increase muscular mobility.
Applications
- Cold therapy: pain relief; reduction of swelling; minor sports inflammation and accident injuries; first aid to limit minor bleeding, bruises, and sensitivities such as insect bites; preferred for new injuries.
- Hot therapy: pain relief; increased muscular mobility; stimulates blood circulation; helps reduce toothache and pain in the knee, leg, back, and neck; also for menstrual pain. Do not use hot therapy for new injuries or when bleeding is present.
How to use
- Cold use: Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Insert into the support belt or cover, or wrap in a cloth, before application.
- Hot water method: Boil water in a pot, remove from heat, place the pack in the hot water for 6–10 minutes. Insert into the belt or cover, or wrap in a cloth, before application.
- Microwave heating: If taken from the refrigerator, allow the pack to reach room temperature before microwaving. Place flat in the microwave at medium power (800 W) for 30 seconds; add 5–10 seconds as needed to reach the desired temperature. After heating, place the pack inside the cover before use.

Precautions
- Do not keep a very hot or very cold pack on the same body area for more than one minute.
- If the contents contact the skin or eyes, rinse with cold water and consult a physician.
- Do not apply directly to the skin; always wrap in a cotton cloth or keep it in the supplied support belt/cover before use.
- Do not use the hot pack directly on wounds or on accident bruises immediately after they occur.
